ZANZIBAR
Zanzibar
is one of the best-kept secrets in the Indian Ocean. This island of exotic
species is proposing relaxing beach holidays almost intact along its coast
with warm turquoise clear water. It's full of history and culture, is
famous because she was formerly the center of trade in East Africa.
In addition to the spectacular beaches, you can take a trip to the famous
city of stone, the Sultan's palaces, Islamic ancient ruins, local markets
and try exotic fruits and spices. Tourists can take a holiday in Zanzibar
or combine it with a safari of flora and fauna.
The white sand beaches with their palms together and their coral reefs
provide a perfect haven for the conclusion of a great safari. In Zanzibar
you can also enjoy activities such as diving with snorkeling, diving,
horseback riding, bicycling, visits to local villages, and of course swimming
and sun bathing.
Stone Town city or stone as it is known, is the only functioning ancient
town in East Africa. it was a commercial port of the former sultans of
Oman in the nineteenth century. During your stay you can take a tour of
historic sites such as the strong Arabic, the House of Wonders and the
museum of the palace. Little has changed since 200 years ago. It is a
city of tortuous alleys, mosques and Arab houses towering whose original
owners competed on the extravagance of their homes. This friendly rivalry
is reflected particularly in the metal covering and esculpían in
wooden doors of which there are more than 500 examples of these different
crafts.
