Zanzibar is one of the best kept secrets in the Indian Ocean. This exotic island of species proposes a relaxing beach vacation almost untouched along its coastline with clear warm turquoise water. It is steeped in history and culture, famous as it was once the center of trade for East Africa.


The Mafia Archipelago is scattered in the Indian Ocean 21km from the Rufiji River delta in central Tanzania. Mafia is the largest of about twenty islands, atolls and tidal sandbars, measuring 50 km long by 15 km wide, and is surrounded by a coral reef teeming with marine life. Nearly half of the mob coastline, some 822km², has been turned into a marine park. To date, more than 50 genera of corals, more than 460 species of fish and five different species of turtles have been recorded in the waters of Chole Bay.


In the coastal area around Dar Es Salaam, sl North of the city, we find Bagamoyo which offers an unbeatable alternative to Zanzibar, with its white sand beaches but without so many tourists.
